Summary:

The customer had a couple of requests regarding making a larger area visible when creating and editing emails.

Symptoms:

1: Can the size of the FCKEditor (Email Editor) be increased? Currently the IFRAME has a dimension of 698px wide and 250px in height.

2: When an email is filed in CRM, the client views the email via the Communications tab. Can the size of the box that contains the body of the email be increased?

Work around / Resolution:

1: The size of the email editor frame is set in the eWare DLL, but that doesn't mean we're stuck with it. You can give this a go:

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {

var fckFrame = document.getElementsByName("iframebody");
$(fckFrame[0]).attr("width", "800px");
$(fckFrame[0]).attr("height", "1000px");
});
</script>

This goes as a custom content script on EmailFilingBox.

2: This is a little bit trickier. If you take a look at the IFrame by hitting F12 in your browser you can see that it doesn't have an ID or name. Either of those would make it easier to point a script at it. However, the source looks pretty unique – we can target the IFrame by looking for Act=373. Again, this script would go on EmailFilingBox.

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {

$('iframe[src*="Act=373"]').attr("style", "width: 100%; height: 1000px;");
});
</script>
