There is an error when updating the license key when using LicenseKeyUpdate.exe.

A possible workaround is to update the license key manually in the database and registry.

This issue has been resolved in Sage CRM 7.3c.
This is not affecting Sage CRM 7.3GA.
This issue was affecting Sage CRM 7.3a/7.3b.
