Summary:

Following an external RecordAnchor link to a specific record in CRM causes you to arrive at the Communications tab.

Symptoms:

The issue can be reproduced by creating a new email template using the #recordanchor# tag. For argument's sake, we'll use the Company entity. The mail body will look something like this:

#recordanchor#Company link#recordanchorend#

Go to a Company record, then hit New -> Email. Select your template and send a HTML-formatted email. View the email in your mail client, and click on the link.

While you might expect to be brought to the Summary screen, after logging in you're brought to the Communications tab.

Workaround:

Select the Summary tab after logging in.

This issue was introduced in v7.2. You work around the problem by following a link in the following format:

The issue has been raised to the Development team for addressing in a future patch.
