This is the first in a short series of articles that introduces the new version of the integration between one of Sage's best-loved accounting solutions and the sales, marketing and service functions of Sage CRM, our powerful fully featured CRM system.

Sage 300cloud is one of Sage's most widely sold accounting solutions across the world. Its home market is in North America but it has a strong customer base within Africa, Asia, and Australia and New Zealand. Over the years its technology and processes have evolved to create a streamlined and efficient solution for small to mid-market companies with up to several hundred users.

There is strong local and international support provided through an extensive business partner network and with the release of the reworked integration between Sage CRM 2018 R3 and Sage 300cloud 2019 we have seen considerable partner and customer engagement.

These articles will discuss the design, architecture and technology of the new integration and will look at the features provided.

The benefits of the new integration

All the traditional benefits of the integration remain.  A customer using integrated CRM can use the data from their accounting system directly within their sales, marketing and customer services processes.   

This first version of the new integration is functionally equivalent to the old integration. The new screens are based on modern technology and the fresh interface of the new integration is easier to use; the UI is certainly cleaner. The learning curve for both implementors and users should be short. There is now no worrying about differentiating between web deploy screens and the portal.

The whole integration has fewer moving parts which mean that it will be easier to support. The key to the new integration is the Sage 300cloud web screens and ensuring communication between the Sage 300cloud and Sage CRM servers. The new integration has a much simpler architecture and is definitely simpler in terms of setup compared to the old integration.
