Within Sage CRM 2019 R1 we added some new features that are designed to make system implementation easier.
- The ability to connect to the database server using its IP address
- Extended browser support for the automatic login
- Improved warning about missing objects on upgrade.
- Ability to keep upgrade log history
I have covered the upgrade features in the blog article: Planning your upgrade & changes in supported software
System Implementors can now configure a new or existing install of Sage CRM to connect to the database server using its IP address rather than its name in the connection strings.
You can replace the database server name with its IP address.
A feature that I think is particularly welcome is the extension of browser support for the automatic login feature.
Authenticated Active Directory users can now access Sage CRM without entering their user name and password when they are using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Previously automatic login was supported for Microsoft Internet Explorer only.
You can read more about these features in the release notes.
