The Sage CRM for iPhone beta component provides a new theme for Sage CRM designed specifically for iPhone users - this blog article shows you how you can use it.

In order to use this functionality, your CRM administrator must have installed the “Sage CRM for iPhone beta” component, and your CRM license must include the mobile option. Your CRM installation must be accessible over the internet, or through a VPN which your iPhone can connect to.

Getting Started

Open Safari on your iPhone. In the address box enter the address of your iPhone installation. This will be the same address you enter using Internet Explorer on your PC

The logon screen will be displayed:

The iPhone allows you to add an icon to your home screen to easily access your favourite websites. One advantage of this is that when you access a link from the home screen, the address and button bars are not displayed, providing you with a larger display area.

Press the “Plus” button on the toolbar at the bottom.

Press “Add to Home Screen”.  The following screen will appear. Press Add.

Safari will close, and a Sage CRM icon will appear on your home screen.

Press the icon and you will be brought back to the login page, this time in full screen mode.

Logging In

Enter your logon credentials and press the “logon” button at the top of the page.

You will be brought to the home page for the iPhone theme. Depending on your user rights, you will see the following options:
